However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced coaching staff on Thursday its updated coaching panel for the national sides for the upcoming T20 International (T20I) series in Ireland and England. The series will kick off with three matches in Ireland from May 10 to May 14 before a four-match series in England from May 22 to May 30.
The current team coach for the initial series against Ireland has been announced, and it is none other than the former Pakistani fast bowler Azhar Mahmood. Mahmood would then work as a second in command during the start of England’s tour with Kirsten’s appointment as the newly-announced red-ball team head coach.
This series is due to have notable former players in its coaching staff. The senior team manager will be Wahab Riaz, a senior in the Pakistan cricket setup who has previously captained the side. Mohammad Yousuf, the best batter of his time, will be the batting coach and bring his vast experience and foresight to the players.
Saeed Ajmal will mentor the crafty spin bowling team, and his continued association with the team in this role will reap big rewards, as always.
A significant advantage returning to the squad is all-rounder Shadab Khan and fast bowler Hasan Ali. His addition would prove to be team performance and all-around abilities from recent international cricketing experiences. These appointments and team selections are part of PCB’s strategic efforts to enhance the team’s performance on the global stage, particularly in the fast-paced, strategically demanding T20 format. The experienced coaches and dynamics in the players’ combination look forward to the team, giving good exposure during the series and building a better challenging fixture in the future. This shows that PCB has no other way out but to make a very competitive team that can compete at the highest level of international cricket.
